Cable Identification & Marking

Cable markers are symbols or labels used to identify cables, wires, bundles, and conduits. They carry a variety of important details, including conductor colour value, date installed, type of cable, voltage rating etc. If you have ever dealt with a tangled mess of cables you would know, labeling them is important for keeping track of what goes where. It take the guesswork out of setting up and troubleshooting your equipment and saves time and money when it comes to moving or modifying a cabling network. Cable markers are available in a large variety of designs, colours, materials and sizes to suit any need.

Cable Glands and Accessories

Cable glands are mechanical cable entry devices that attach, secure and terminate cable ends to an electrical enclosure or directly into equipment providing for mechanical support, earth continuity for armoured/braided cables and protect against the ingress of dust and moisture according to the ingress protection (IP) rating. Cable glands must provide holding force on the cable to ensure adequate levels of LV HV cable pull out resistance preventing lateral and axial loads being applied to the internal cable conductor terminations. Cable glands for installation in hazardous areas must be specified according to the installation code or classification authority, such as ATEX or IECEx.

Conduits

Electrical conduits are tubing used for protection and routing of electrical wiring. Electrical conduit prevents contact between electrical wires and conductive or flammable material thus preventing injury, fire or other loss. Electrical conduit ensures a safe ground path for electricity and an armored route for electrical wiring. They can be made from a variety of materials, such as: plastic, steel, fiber etc. Electric conduits can be rigid or flexible but they are not liquid tight, so water may degrade wiring. For this, Liquid tight flexible conduit is employed, which has a metal or plastic core covered by thermosetting plastic. The plastic jacket protects wiring from liquids, temperature extremes and corrosive chemicals.

Industrial Plugs & Sockets

Industrial plugs and sockets provide a crucial connection to electrical mains and are rated at higher currents and voltages than standard household plugs and sockets. They are widely used for indoor and outdoor electrical power distribution in providing power supply mainly to large machines and appliances. Industrial machines consume a lot of power and may require high-voltage electrical currents. Industrial-grade plugs and sockets can withstand such power, hence protecting your devices, machines, and facilities from electrical damage. Modern industrial plugs from reputed manufacturers are well-built to even withstand wind, heavy rain, or other kinds of adverse weather conditions, making them safe and less hazardous to use. Most have weatherproof covers and sleeves and others may be interlocked with switches to prevent accidental disconnection.

Hydraulic Tools

Hydraulic tools are strong, portable, and flexible enough for use in a variety of applications. They are high-powered tools that use pressurized fluid moving through tubes to operate the toolโ€™s actuator. Pressurized fluid systems provide constant torque and higher power density and are suitable for heavy duty applications. Hydraulic tools decrease downtime and work disruptions. Since these tools are easier to repair and maintain, the time spent waiting for service is lessened. Their naturally rugged design also ensures fewer breakdowns even with prolonged use.

Industrial LV Switchgear

Industrial switchgear is a vital system in industries that experience electrical faults or those that need to regularly de-energize equipment for maintenance, such as industrial environments and electrical utilities. Switchgear contains switches, isolators, fuses, relays, circuit breakers and lightning arresters. Low-voltage switchgear is designed to regulate systems of up to 1KV. These are commonly found on the low-voltage sides of power-distribution transformers and are used across a variety of industries.

Cable Jointing & Termination

Cable joints and terminations play a vital role in providing dependable electrical connection, mechanical support and physical safeguarding of cables, as they make physical and electrical connection between the cable and the terminal of the equipment, junction or another cable thereby facilitating the flow of electricity in the desired manner. When specifying LV & HV cable joints, careful consideration must be given to the specification of the cable to be jointed, the installation application and environmental factors. This is vital to joint and terminate cables effectively and also to prevent the risk of failure in future.

Cable Sleeves Wrapping & Capping

Cable sleeves or sheathing offers insulation & protection for cables from abrasive environments while optimizing space, as they can be used to bundle cables together or insulate a single cable. Their use is ideal for avoiding tangles, hiding unsightly cables and making a cable area safe. A sleeve can be flexible, solid, Heat shrinkable, fabric, nylon, metal, braided or mesh; in fact they are available in multiple materials, shapes and sizes. PVC insulated wires are also placed in plastic casings or trunking covered with a cap. Repair Sleeves are designed to quickly repair damaged cable jacketing. Heat-shrinkable End Capping is used at the end of Wires and Cable to seal, protect and insulate the ends of exposed cables, wire ends.

Explosion Proof Lighting

Explosion proof lighting fixtures are able to contain sparks that could potentially ignite the flammable and explosive gases in the atmosphere. So explosion proof lighting does not refer to lighting equipment that are resistant to explosions but rather, the capacity to prevent external explosions from occurring in a hazardous location. Installing explosion proof lighting significantly reduces the risk of explosions by preventing the ignition of surrounding flammable gases and vapours. Due to their robust design, the risk of explosions and ignitions occurring is very low, therefore they also improve worker safety in hazardous environments.

LED Lighting

Energy saving, long life and environment friendly, LED light has a Long lifespan of average 50,000 hours. LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than traditional lighting such as fluorescent and incandescent lights. 95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light whereas in fluorescent lights 95% of energy is converted to heat and only 5% into light! LEDs are also Eco-friendly as they contain no toxic elements such as Mercury and other hazardous emissions. LED lights are also suitable to use with motion sensors. When connected to a lamp, motion sensors which detect human movement can be used to control an area's lighting. With the sensor, you may become more cost and energy-efficient.

Exothermic Welding and Grounding

Exothermic welding is a process used for joining dissimilar or similar metals, such as copper to steel or copper to copper. Exothermic welding is used in earthing system and lightning protection systems for electrical equipment. It employs an exothermic reaction to form a molecular bond between the two pieces. Exothermic welding requires no outside source of power or heat โ€“ the system is also light and portable ideal for field use since the connection is produced in a purpose-designed graphite mold. Making an exothermic welding joint simply requires a mould, weld powder, handle clamp and exothermic welding tools. Connections are tolerant to repeated fault currents, highly conductive, permanent and demonstrate excellent corrosion resistance.
